Playing Irfanview MOV File with Win Media Player

Hi, I made a DVD of a few video clips that are Irfanview MOV file. I sent the DVD to my sister who knows very little about computers and she wasn't able to view the videos.

All she has is Windows Media Player. I thought maybe I should try to change the movie file extension to something compatible to Media Player...then i thought wouldn't it be easier if she just installed Irfanview? Wouldn't she be able to view them then??

A MOV file is not a specific IrfanView format.
Whether it's WMPlayer or IrfanView, you will need the Quicktime plugin.

      Hi, Sam,

Please tell me how I can direct her to do get the plug in.

She lives 2000 miles away so i will try to walk her through it. That alone is difficult because she has Vista and I still have XP so I try to visualize where she would go to locate things.

Could you please write out the steps for her to get the plug in?

Shows you what I know.... I thought Quicktime and Media Player where two different video players, just different companies! I wouldn't tell her that. She thinks I'm brilliant with computers. LOL

Sorry, someone with Vista should tell you the way.
Maybe it's simpler to avoid both players, needing this plugin, and download this one
        It doesn't need additional plugins.
