Plugins.txt says that IV can read *.DDS files with Format.dll installed. Assuming that you have the right plugins for the right version of IV, it should work. Can you attach a *.DDS file? (ZIP it first) as the format is not recognised by the forum AFAIK.

I am having similar problems with the .dds format plugin. I pull up a .jpg and try to save it in the .dds format and the DDS option is not even listed on the file->save as. I have 4.0 and the 4.0 plugins. The Formats.dll is in the plugin directory, 159,232 bytes. Have tried installing "irfanview plugins 400 setup.exe" 5,970, 944 bytes several times, have read the Plugin.txt files and have found no no way of correcting this in Irvanview.
