    Reported v4.28/v4.27: problem with paint dialog in 4.27

    hello. i have a problem with paint dialog. when i open any image and click on Show paint dialog, program crashes and shut down. in v4.25 no problem with paint...

    OS - win 7 ultimate slovak
    irfan view - 4.27
    HW - acer aspire 5024wlmi

    Make sure you have the latest plugins to match the later IrfanView versions.

      I have the same problem. IV crashes if I try to open Paint plugin.
      Update/reinstall does not help.

      IV 4.27 and 4.28
      Win 7 32 Bit Ultimate rus

        I have had a similar problem with both version 4.27 and 4.28 (plugins being the newest available too) running in win7.
        After working with some scans (cropping and drawing "circles") the program crashes.

        Hope you can find the leak :-)

          I don't use Win 7!
          So I can't test it!

          Maybe some other Win 7 users can test it!

            Hi,

            on my computer I can use the paint dialog.
            Maybe you should remove IrfanView from your computer (also the ini files which are located in the %APPDATA%\IrfanView folder) and install again. Also if you have uninstalled IrfanView be sure the program folder is deleted (%ProgramFiles%\IrfanView on 32bit systems or %programfiles(x86)%\IrfanView on 64bit).

              It seems that version 4.38 finally have fixed theese crashes, which have been happening daily since 4.27
