IrfanView can read descript.ion? How to enable reading descript.ion?

Presumably these are text files that Irfanview could display if it recognised the .ion suffix as a text file. Sadly it doesn't, so other than renaming the suffix to .txt I know of no way to show them in this program. -

Idea to use descript.ion appeared, because I can not write using IrfanView information (description of the photo) to png and tiff-files. Other IrfanView-such programs can work with descript.ion. It is very convenient. But I prefer IrfanView. Really miss being able to do a description of tiff-files.
