Reported BUG: Cursor focus lose in the thumbnail window

BUG: Cursor focus lose in the thumbnail window

Say there is a folder with 100 jpg pictures. If that folder is selected in the folder tree then the thumbnail window start to index the pictures and generate thumbnails. At this point if one selects any pictures from the top row and starts to press “Page Down” key to scroll down quickly, irfanview erroneously loses the cursor focus on the thumbnail and cursor focus moves to the folder tree selection and cause the cursor to move to the last node of the folder tree instead of continuing to scroll down the thumbnails.

    Tested on:
    Version: IrfanView 4.28
    OS: Windows XP SP3
Hardware: AMD Phenom II 955, 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4200 Graphics with the AMD 785G Chipset.

try a folder with very large amount of file and keep scrolling down with "Page Down" while it is still indexing.

It works fine for me too. You see empty thumbnail boxes with the file name below if you get ahead of the images being generated. I cannot get ahead of the empty boxes being displayed. They appear far too quickly.

Make quite sure that the focus really is on the thumbnail images before pressing the Page Down key. The name of the selected thumbnail should be highlighted (probably in blue) if the focus is there. The outline square around the selected thumbnail image remains visible even when the focus is back on the folder tree.
