    Default Modifying the Program Icon

I couldn't take it anymore, so i did something

Took the image for the icon from here: http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&se...anview#/dq8fdi (License: CC)
    Alternative: http://ncrow.deviantart.com/art/Icon...View-133927645
Created an icon with this: http://icofx.ro/ (free, closed source)
Took the toolbar from here: http://jwils876.deviantart.com/art/W...irfanview&qo=1 (free)
Unpacked the original exe with this: http://upx.sourceforge.net (and packed it later again, filesize changed from 519 kilobyte to 598 kilobyte) (License: http://upx.sourceforge.net/upx-license.html)
Replaced the original icon with this: http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/ (free, closed source)

As some users might be a little bit helpless with the programs in the instructions I gave, here is a download for the executeable itself (if your're worried about that just follow the instructions and do it yourself)
Download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/jhsrhh...f/i_view32.zip (Version 4.30 exe only, you should install Irfanview before from: http://irfanview.net/)
After you replaced the exe you just have to exchange the toolbar from within IrfanView's Settings Dialog (Instructions for that are in the FAQ of the official IrfanView Website)

Scanned the result with this: http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanre...41f58f273273b7

PS: I also reshacked the new icons.dll, because since Irfanview Version 4.28 the icons for LWF, LDF and SWF where removed.
Since then a PNG file had the icon of an PCX file (in particular every filetype which began with a letter after L had a wrong filetype icon)

    Thank you so very much!
I've been trying to do this, but didn't have the unpacker and hence was unsuccessful.
I'm going to try if I can make this work on the slideshow dll, because any screensaver I create with it has that horrible little 32x32 icon
(so far if I tried my antivirus started screeming as soon as I had changed the icon :'( )

LOL - seems I got excited a bit too soon. How do I get that unpacker to work? Never worked with something like that before and that read me doesn't really help

Sorry, shouldn't have whined so fast - I got it.
Thanks again - I finally got rid of that nasty viruswarning and I do have a nice icon on my screensavers!
