    Shortcut for -Create Maximized Selection-

    Hello all,

Is there, or can I create, a shortcut (or a macro) to invoke the <Edit> <Create Maximized Selection (ratio)> <16:9>.

I like to resize all my images to that ratio, but it takes a lot of clicks....

    Many thanks and.....

    Keep smiling

    Hi,

currently it seems not to be possible using only IrfanView.
    You can do this:
Save the attached file to your computer and extract it. You will find a VBScript inside. Than you need to create a shortcut to this file (click with the right mouse button on the file and move it to your desktop. Then a contect menu will be opened. Select the "Properties" entry. A window will be opened, here you have to switch to the second tab. Here should be an entry ( I don't know the english name exactly) like "Hot key" (it is the third input field). Click in there and enter a key you like to assign this shortcut to, like 'S'. Windows will automatically prefix "CTRL + ALT +".
Close this window with ok. Now you are ready to use this script.
Open a picture with IrfanView and hit the hot key combination ('CTRL+ALT+s') and IrfanView should have a maximized centered 16:9 selection.

    Regards
    Nils
