    Reported Problem with Kadmos OCR Plugin. ERROR - REL REL_dc_init1

    I upgraded to Irfanview Version 4.33

    I upgraded to KADMOS Recognition Engine Version 4.4v

    Following the upgrade the above error occurs as follows.

    Load IrfanView, Load Image, Select Options/StartOCR [F9]
    The KADMOS page loads with the text highlighted in yellow OK.
    Click on the text to commence OCR -> Error.
    or
    Click on the [Config] button -> Error.
    KADMOS screen does not crash.
    I can [Exit] and return to the IrfanView image OK.

    Both the app and the plugin were installed using admin privileges on Windows Vista with rights set to allow all users to use UserProfile settings.

    I don't have Windows Vista to test this. I haven't used the Kadmos plugin since discovering Free OCR, which does a better job. The results from Kadmos are unusable on the 150 dpi scans that I tried, but it does actually function without any error messages on Windows XP.

    The Venerable Mahasi Sayadaw, Agga Mah5
    Pandita, the Author of this Sutta, since his
    arrival at the Sasana Yeiktha M~~tation Ccntre
    from his native place Seikkhun, Shwebo District,
    in November 1949, has been inducting numerous
    batches of yogis into the practice of vipassan{~
    meditation. He has also trained members of the
    Sangha as meditation teachers up till now.
    While performing this noble work as a true disciple
    of ilie Buddha, the Sayadaw has given discourses
    on a regular basis. Never does he fail to rely
    authoIitatively on the relevant teachings of the
    Buddha in all his discourses. Every Sutta so
    imparted in unique in itself and typically in
    tune with the present times.
    The present Discourse bearing the name of
    Bh~ra ' resembles a graceful flower in an
    ornamental string of dhammas. The usage and
    choice of words and the pattern of composition
    is ClasSicallY modern. The literary style of
    Mahasi will, it is hoped, continue to remain
    distinctive for years to come.
    This Sutta, originally written in Burmese, is
    translated into English language by U Htin Fatt
    (Pen.name : Maung Htin), who is one of the
    Prominent writers among the galaxy of journalists
    in Burma.
