Two of the forum areas, "Technical documents" and "Command Line and Scripts" do not have "Post new thread" buttons, so it is not possible for ordinary users to create new content there. If this is policy then I believe it needs to be reviewed.
Many of the threads in "Technical documents" are now very dated and often contain links to Sam_Zen's website which no longer work. (Both Sam and his website being sadly missed).
"Command Line and Scripts" contains a sub-forum called "Wishes and questions". How are users supposed to post wishes and questions there if they cannot start new threads? That really makes no sense at all.
I agree strongly with the concept of having a specialist area dealing with command lines and scripts. The discussions on these do get quite technical and are probably of interest to only a minority of users, so are better kept out of the general areas of the forum, but I am sure that those who are interested in the subject would prefer to have all posts about them located there and not have to search through the labyrinth of Support, etc. to find them.

    I'm supporting these remarks.

I, too, support these remarks as I was the original poster who brought this up to Mij in another question that he so graciously helped me out with (Thanks Again!!!) I am probably not alone in this issue, as I have a question in trying to us the RIOT plugin in a command line script, but do not have permissions to start a new thread in the Command Line Script Wishes and Questions sub-forum which I assume would be the proper place to ask this and other questions pertaining to scripts. I also want to thank Mij again, this time for bringing this problem to light in a new thread...Stan...

The threads in "Command Line and Scripts" were indeed opened as promised above and I posted in there but "Technical documents" is still locked. I have prepared some tutorial material on the subject of Borders and Frames that does not easily fit anywhere else on the forum so I am unable to post it at present.

Was it opened and then closed again for some reason or did you forget to include "Technical documents", Stefan?

Stefan has now opened the Technical documents folder so that any registered user can start new threads. Thanks Stefan.
I have posted my tutorial there and hope some of you will find it useful.
