    Batch Opeartions Problems

    Hi All,

Have done some scanning of prints and negs recently, now I'm ready to tackle fixing some of the pictures.

Using WinXP and current IrfanView 4.35 with matching plugins.
I've managed to perform some of the batch operations on multiple files, but some do not seem to be working.
    Let's start with resize....

    1. I'm in the batch conversion
    2. I select several .tif files and add them
    3. I wish to save them as tif after the process so I select Batch conversion
    4. Mark Advanced and open the options window
    5. Mark resize and set new size as %, which I enter 50 and set DPI to 1800 (scans were made at 3600)
    6. Mark: Use Use resample and Resize based on new DPI
    7. Click OK and run Batch

All I get is bunch of very small files about 200kb with .tif ext, but no picture

I can perform the above in manual mode w/o problems.
BTW I have problems with other Batch functions, but let's start with this one.
Some batch operations work fine, such as rotation, conversion to gray, to negative, etc,
but some I just can give me strange results.

Things I can't get to work are: resize, Auto Adj colors, auto crop (these I tested)

Would really like to work with IV, once we sort this out.

    Thanks...photonak

Sorry, if this has been discussed before and I can't find it.

Sorry, if I answer my own question.

Seems the "Use Resample Function" and "Resize based on DPI" are mutually exclusive and no error is generated.
If I mark one at a time, that operation works. There's a note that using Resample produces better quality. It
seems to produce slightly smaller file as well.
