Reported Strange affect when auto adjust color

Hi to all,
i reported a strange effect on a picture when i do 'auto adjust color' feature.
Attached there are 2 files: the pictures before and after the strange effect.

This is a specific image with very low contrast and colour range. I wouldn't expect any "automatic" algorithm to be useful in this case. It could be slightly improved by manual editing.

Edit: ... or if you want an automatic adjustment use the AltaLux plugin from Image >Effects.
