The older version of the progarm allowed me to scroll very long images that are well logs. images can be 8.5 inches wide and 200 inches long at 200 or 300 dpi. I can no longer scroll them..

Do you mean you want to scroll through a text file (a log file)? I tried a 1221 lines text file and IrfanView displays it as a 895 x 24405 pixels (= 7.5 x 203.4 inches at 120 dpi). I can scroll it without any problem both with scrollbars and arrow keys. What does happen with your file? Is it an ordinary ASCII file?

If this is the same issue that i was having (can zoom in and scroll down but not up) this is a workaround:
View -> Display options (Window mode) -> Use "Resample" for fitting (better quality)Comment
