    Reported v4.23: GPS reporting error

    Howdy friends,
There appears to be a bug in the GPS position reported from EXIF data.
I got a Nikon GP-1 GPS attachment for my Nikon D-300 for Christmas so this is a new experience for me.
IrfanView seems to consistently place all GPS locations about 25 miles south, south east of the actual location the image was shot. I also use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 which reports the correct location.

    Here's an example.

    IrfanView reads the location as N 38 50.02, W 78 25.78
The actual location as reported by Lightroom and Google Earth is N 38 50.10 W 78 25.46

Thanks for any assistance, no better program for quick editing and viewing than IrfanView.

My GPS coordinates are in "Degrees, minutes, seconds" format and I do find it odd that Irfanview reports 32:44:57 as 32.00 degrees 44.00 minutes 57.00 seconds. Correct, but a bit bizarre.
So the problem may be just associated with using a decimal fraction for the minutes.
