Reported v4.23: Immediate crash on Core i7 940 Mem 12GB (Vista)

I've got almost same issue on the following machine:

Windows Vista Ultimate (x64)
Core i7 940 (Hyper-threading and VT enabled)
12GB memory installed

Everytime I launch i_view32.exe either by double-clicking or typing command without any parameters, it crashes immediately; that's all.

At least, on my machine, this is 100% reproducable. No other requirements.

FWIW, I don't have any problems. My system is similar, though a little smaller:
Windows Vista Home Premium (x64)
Core i7 920 (Hyper-threading and VT enabled)
8GB memory installed
IrfanView version 4.23

There are some known issues with multi-core which have been solved with recent versions. If you're not running the latest, I'd try that.

Another possibility is the location of the INI file. If it is in the IrfanView Program Files folder, Vista UAC can cause problems. Although, from what I've read, that doesn't cause program crashes.
