Pending v4.25: Problem extracting all pages from big TIFF

Hello.

I have created a 560 pages, 1,2 Gb TIFF file from scanned pages using LZW compression and grayscale (8bpp). When trying to extract all pages, Irfanview just crashed to desktop after extracting the first image.

Viewing the TIFF file and advancing forward was also impossible.

I have extracted the TIFF file with another application and it's okay.

In my opinion a 1,2 Gb TIFF file is not a normal picture file!
Such a size is absolutely atypical for an image file!

Thus it could be quite possible that your computer or the program is overloaded!
(How big is the memory of your computer actually? Which operating system, which processor… ?)

Nope. That isn't the case, I think, because I have extracted all pages from TIFF files bigger than that (using v4.23).

I will investigate it further when I have the time.

More testing results follow: I have experienced exactly the same "bug" using a smaller TIFF (100MB in size). Crash to desktop after page number 2.

I am downgrading to Irfanview 4.23 which performed rock solid for me.
