Hello
It's my first post I've used IV for some years, and on my fresh polish xp pro sp2 system problem occured. When setting wallpaper... desktops wallpaper turn black (cause it's my color behind wallpaper :P) and nothing happens. File's where it should be, it's ok. And windows desktop properties show me that everything's set, but it doesn't show the file. So i've searched registry.
The registry key holding file path and name to wallpaper (hkcu->control panel->desktop->Wallpaper) is:
C:\Documents and Settings\mrĂłwa\Dane aplikacji\IrfanView\IrfanView_Wallpaper.bmp
and it should be
C:\Documents and Settings\mrówa\Dane aplikacji\IrfanView\IrfanView_Wallpaper.bmp
If you cannot see difference - "mrĂłwa" instead of "mrówa" (cause "mrówa" is folder of my user - it's a bit unlogical for me why it isn't changed by win to anything, found it some days after installing everything :/)
And yes, I am using the unicode plugin
Conclusion - IrfanView creates wallpaper path and file name registry key without unicode.
So... it's another problem with non-english users
