A new weirdness with Irfanview (I'm using 4.58) since upgrading to Windows 11.
This may be a passing Windows 11 bug, but I thought I should mention it here.
I didn't notice this on my new system with Windows 10, but definitely noticed it after the Windows 11 update.
When Irfanview first opens, all the File menu "file management" items like Reopen, Rename, Move, Copy, and Delete are enabled.
But as soon as I press Delete to delete a file, they all become greyed out.
Very frustrating as I've always used Irfanview for very easy and rapid appraisal of big batches of photos from trips, and now it's knackered and of no use on my new system.
I registered such a long time ago that I don't have the email for it. So I paid a new subscription - thinking that after using it for twenty years I probably owe it! But no new rego key has turned up yet. I'm not even sure if this is a registration problem.
I can't find any security history indicating it's a problem. It just occurred to me, I'm on an HP and their HP SureClick is turned on, but I thought that was confined to Google Chrome, PDFs and MS Office files. Windows 11 is still pushing out updates, which I'm keeping up with, but nothing has fixed this file management problem. Any other Windows 11 users seen this issue, or am I doing something freshly stupid?
