Wallpaper fails under WIN10

For the past couple of weeks I've been unable to use Options/Set as Wallpaper on Win10 64bit, Irfanview 64bit v4.58.
Have re-installed Irfanview 4.58 with no change.

I suspect the usual suspect:- Windows Upgrade, but have no proof.

Any thoughts?

My version of Windows is build 19043.1237. I can set a new wallpaper and revert to the previous one with no problem.
Have you also updated the graphics driver?
