I just installed the latest brew of IrfanView in my brand new Windows 7 computer - and I've found that if I hit F6 to rename a file on Drive L: it works flawlessly, but if I do it on Drive D: I get a "Cannot do . . " error popup - same problem with trying to delete files by hitting the "Del" key while viewing them. I've found a workaround that's bene working for a couple hours now, (Rt-Clk-Properties menu, set to run as Admin on both the desktop shortcut and the .EXE file itself).
Then I saw in the FAQ that that shouldn't be necessary in Win 7.
So - Problem or no, it's an oddness.
I use Irfanview to manage a vast image collection, and reoccurring problems with rename and delete files would cripple it's utility for me.
SUCH a wonderful program! - THANK YOU for creating and maintaining it!
