It would be nice to have an option to automatically loop videos. It's particularly useful if you have switched your library from using .gifs to .mp4s and want them to loop in a slideshow or in the image viewer itself, just like regular .gifs do.

Just a bit more info on this -- imgur is supporting these kind of videos that should have gif-like behaviour with the file extension '.gifv' - It isn't a file format as such, they are simply video files, normally webm or mp4. The extension just denotes that the video should be played automatically, in a loop, and without sound.
This looks like a trend set to continue. Maybe this could be added?

There are a number of different interfaces for playing videos in Irfanview that can be selected in the Video/Sound tab in Properties/Options. If you choose
"Use internal video/sound player" then there is a "Loop" checkbox just below in the dialog. If you choose the External player IV_player.exe then the checkbox is in that program (press P for the settings while playing or click on the Hammer icon if it is displayed). For other choices such as Quicktime you probably have to look for an option somewhere inside that program.Comment
