    Requested Zoom to a value

I think a useful function to add would be a way of getting the exact amount of zoom while viewing. There has been plenty of discussion of the current zoom steps now done with the +&- keys, but when those are pressed you get the next step level up (or down).

What happens when that step was not fine enough?
How about using the "Z" key (which I don't see being used right now) and by pressing it a window opens, where the user can type in the exact value (to whatever the limits are) that the user wants.

Another way of getting to the "Zoom" value would be if the user could mouse click over the current zoom value in the footer of the IrfanView window and up would pop open the type-in window.

Quick and intuitive. If I want 123% I can easily get it. It I want 99% I can easily get it, etc.
I wish to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not like those passengers, in his car, when he drove over that cliff.

Nice. I always support to be able to set a value exactly if I need to.
A value of a zoom-step is something else as setting the direct zoom factor in one go.
I think there's room for this in the Properties/Viewing dialog.
Now, there's only the 'Zoom Step' percentage, default at 10 %.
I can imagine another box, called 'Direct Zoom' for example, with a custom value.
Possibly being called with the 'Z' key.

It would be nice. After all, even MS Word lets me do that!
      Its: Belongs to "It"
It's: Shortened form of "It is"
      ---------------------
      Lose: Fail to keep
      Loose: Not tight

      ---------------------
      Plurals do not require apostrophes
