One feature I would really love to see is a progress bar (possibly in the status bar) while loading images. This would show me that a file is loading while I am browsing a folder with the Next/Previous buttons (or PgUp/PgDn keys). Regular files load quickly, but loading a 20-25MB TIFF file does take a second or two...

I don't have such big files, but I can imagine that this must be extremely frustating.. wow.. 2 seconds.. could drive me mad..
The problem is, that generating that progress bar maybe could cost another 0.2 secs.
By the way, please mention your IV version and OS type in a post. -
Wow, that is a really great answer, pal! Everyone after that answer will say "oh, I have a little problem or request, but thanx god there are helpful people who don't make stupid answers and trying to help me seriously".
I want to progress bar too. Not even progress - you cannot break IrfanView loading process and you have not progressive image view like in very old version of ACDSee, so - there is not "2 second" problem.
I know that post is from 2 years ago but this is even more frustrating - 2 years and nothing happens.Comment
