Requested Use shtml extension for web page generation

I think the option to generate webpages from a selection of photo's is great, but I learned the benefits of server side includes lately and can't seem to combine that with the html generation of Irfanview.

Would it be possible to hava an option to use shtml instead of html when generating web pages ?

PS: I know I can tell the webserver to scan html pages for SSI, but I've read that this can produce overhead and possibly a security risk.
