I tested all resizing algorithms available in Irfanview, and all result in the "wrong" result as described in the article.
I use Irfanview a lot to batch resize images for various purpose, and even if it may not be perceptible in most cases, I don't like the idea of having incorrect colors introduced in the image when I spent some time processing it before
...
So for the sake of colour fidelity, please fix this in a new release, or at least let this possibility as a resize/resample option !
