We have a internal camera, taking regular pictures which is stored on a catalog.
I would like to have a "slideshow", showing last e.g. 8 pictures (sorted by date/time or whatever) queued up like a train on the bottom of the screen:

It should then at a given interval, simply check a given catalog for any "newer" picture in the "train-specification" (typical date/time-sorting) and push the horizontal (or vertical) stack left right/up/down, to view the next 4/6/8/10/whatever number of picture in the "train".
I've tried to google for search program, but didn't find any.
The already marvelous irfanview would be an even greater program with such slideshow function or plugin.
