I would like to see a zoom box like the 'Loupe' magnifier in adobe's acrobat reader. It works well with large files with smaller details, you could leave the image in full view and move around the image at a preset (adjustable) higher zoom rate, which is displayed in a smaller separate image (moveable on top of current image).
In case you haven't used it yet, you have to right click in adobe's reader tool bar, then scroll down to find the 'Loupe Magnifier' select check box to display in tool bar.
Works very well but only on pdf's of course, I think it would be very usefull with all image formats, would like to see this implemented in irFanview.
