    Requested Photo Downloader

Thank you for this awesome software!

i went through the forum, but could not find the info on this subject:

..does this program contain a Photo Downloader (similar to Adobe Bridge or ACDSee) or is there a plugin that can be installed to transfer the files from the Card Reader or a Camera to computer?

    Thank you very much!

    I use the Windows Explorer!
    Why you not also?
(It's not a task for a picture viewer!)

    regards

      Hey Frank,
my main tools are CS4+Adobe Bridge for import and post process, but Bridge has well known issue of crashing when Photo Downloader starts and it is not able to load the list of devices. It happens to PCs and MACs randomly. So far, i found no resolution on the fix.

W/E does allow you to import, but with very little data management options. Would you agree?
ACDSee does or may show incorrect colors ( I have pro color calibrated monitor) so I don't feel comfortable with it as well, but when i came across IRF, i loved it. It shows the true image as it was shot. Love it and trying to learn its options. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Serg.

I once wrote a little tool to download the photos from the camera and divide them by date; you can find it here.
        IrfanPaint developer
The latest stable IrfanPaint version is the 0.4.13.70.
IrfanPaint is now open-source (released under BSD license).
