I just registered here to post this...
I've been using Irfanview for as long as I've had computers running Windows. In fact, it was one of the first programs recommended to me by my friend, to make working with Windows easier. I occasionally use other viewers when necessary, but IView is my favorite.
That said, there are two features I'd love to see added;
1. Support for Commodore 64 image formats. I know there are a ton of custom formats, but I'd be happy just to have it support Doodle and Koala Pad files, both compressed and uncompressed. Since the files don't have a header, it would have to recognize them by the filename. XNView can display them, but I'd rather use IView. Supposedly the author of ConGo made plugins that will work in many programs, but they're not free.
2. I'd like to be able to enter a list of extensions that IView shouldn't rename if it finds them to be incorrect. For example, a small Mahjongg/tile matching game I have, uses BMP files for the tile sets, but they have the extension ".tiles" on them. I've associated those files with IView, so that I can view them, but each time, it tells me that the file is mis-named and asks if I want to rename it. It would be nice if I could tell it to never ask to rename those files.
