Requested Duplex batch scanning each front+back to separate file

I have to scan a couple hundred documents, all of them two-sided, and save them to separate PDF files. I have a duplex scanner (Canon MF754), but I haven't found a way to create separate files for each sheet (front+back), only separate for each side or all in one file. At the moment, I will scan them to separate files and create a script for PDFsam to combine them, but it seems like a useful feature completely ignored by all the software I checked.

Command line software like pdftk can extract pages from a pdf and number them. If you can scan all the docs to one pdf, it could separate them all to separate files. Odd pages front, even pages back. I guess it might be similar to PDFsam, I don't know. It can also extract specific pages.
