On the PC on which it doesn't work, are you using a real mouse wheel or some kind of emulated one (e.g. some Synaptic touchpads have two buttons to scroll the windows, that however are not a real mouse wheel)?

Which operating system are you working on? Do you feel "notches" while you move the mouse wheel, or it moves smoothly?

XP SP2 and yes, notches rather than smoothly.

Boh, I don't know. Maybe I'll make a little edited dll for you (with some debug messages) to see what's wrong with that.

Now I switched mouse. Used the one from the laptop. Same result, no change.

Are you sure that you're using the latest EXE and IP versions?

Yes. And to make absolutely sure I now downloaded the .46 biggie and replaced both the .EXE and the .DLL (with identical copies and the result: as before

If you do Ctrl+Shift+Mouse wheel move does the current tool change? Are you sure that your Ctrl key works ?

Yes, the Ctrl key works. Just double checked.
What now?
Deleted i_view32.ini and restarted IV - same result.

Download the IP b0.4.4.44 full packet and decompress it in a temporary folder. Start i_view32.exe, open an image, press F12, put the focus on the IV window, press ESC and wait some seconds. Do you get an error after IV closes?

Nope! No error message.

Do you have any "strange" configuration on your PC? Vista-transformation packs, keyloggers, applications that use dll injection, ...
