Problem using Plug-ins

I used the Portable install (V4.3) but put IV on the main drive in my PC in a folder call IrfanviewPortable.
I then installed the Plugins for V4.3.
However when I try to access any of the plugins I get an error saying the plugin .dll cannot be found, but they are there in the irfanviewPortable/Plugins directory.

Anyone any suggestions?

Hi,

just remove the IrfanView Portable, if you don't need the integration in the portable suite and download the IrfanView as a zip file (download page / other download sites should help).
There is no need to use this portable version since IrfanView is already a so called portable application which does not really need access to the regsitry. So you can use IV and also the plugins just from an USB stick or almost any path of your system.

The PortableApps version of Irfanview should work OK but you need to have a folder named Plugins in your IrfanviewPortable folder and the plugins themselves (which are dll files) need to be in that Plugins folder. There is no file called plugin.dll though AFAIK.
