Amiga IFF format conversion

Hi guys,

Glad to discover such a nice program! I arrived here from various Amiga groups suggesting that irfanview can convert JPG to IFF (Amiga format) but unfortunately I didn't manage to find this operation.

Is it available? What am I missing?

The IFF support is read-only:

XnView MP can save in iff format, all the metadata get lost in the process. (And IrfanView can not open the results.)

thank you for your answer! was irfanview ever able to make this conversion? if so is that version still available? Ill also check XnView (used it in the past as a photo browser) but Id love an Irfanview version that can convert to IFF.

From the description of the IrfanView's Formats plugin: "allows IrfanView to read some rare image formats ... and old/retro formats from Amiga, Atari, C64, ZX Spectrum etc."
So I don't believe that older versions could be of any help.
