Slideshow problems

Hi,

I´m using Irfanview 4.10 on a XP Pro SP2 laptop to display a slideshow.
In the My Pictures folder i created sub-folders for every project im busy with, so each sub-directory is an album. Is it possible to choose a whole directory in the slideshow, instead of going into the directory and choose all picts.
Is it maybe possible to view the pictures in alpabethical order, but the albums (directorys) in random order? So it chooses a random album (directory), and then displays all the files there after one another, and then chooses another random album, and displays all the pictures, etc, etc....

Hi MoStimpy,

I was not able to just click a directory, I always had at least to click the button "Add all" to add at once all the files contained in that directory.

Once some files are choosed, there is a button to sort them. Several sort options exist.

You can also move one or several of them up and down.

If you want full control on your slideshow, you can even save your slideshow, edit it manually with a text editor (it is a .txt), then reload it in IrfanView.

It is possible to create such a slideshow file manually, or using a custom batch or script. But be aware that the slideshow file must contain the full path of the image files.

Enhancement Idea

It would be a great idea for an enhancement if a directory (folder) could be listed in a slide show, so that when the slide show is played, whatever images happen to be in that directory at that time are included.

I tried these options and they work as supposed, but my problem is still the same.
When i click add all, inc. subfolders, all the subfolders are added. I only want to choose some folders.
As for the sorting, im looking for a way to sort the files alph., but the folders randomly.
Every folder should be a std. alone slideshow, alph. sorted, and the slideshows (folders) should start random.

Very special request. IrfanView can't do so much. Only one slideshow at a time.

I found a program that does this feature, maybe it is possible to analyze it and implement in the program? I don´t think it is hard to do?
