Why is IrfanView not Listed as a Photo Viewer?

My question is...why is Irfanview not listed as an option for available Photo Viewers? All of my other defaults none of which are MS products have no problem being listed.

Well once it has been used as the default image for a particular file type it continues to be offered as an option when you select "Open With" from the context menu. Irfan Skiljan has a policy of registering as little as possible in the Windows Registry during installation so presumably there is no key for Irfanview there until it has been used as a default application.
