    Is .FLV supported

I have scrolled through the extensions and don't see .flv. Is flash video supported by Irfanview?

    Yes, it does :-)

I cant seem to see the FLV support either....

Just downloaded the 4.10 and plugins. Is there something else I need to do?

By the way, I have been using irfanview a very long time as my ONLY picture editing tool. It is without a doubt the best editor/view made.

      Thanks...

If it does, then you must have the Adobe Flash player installed. Not a native IrfanView plugin.

FLV is not in the extension list, so IV doesn't support it. A 3rd party is needed.

          Hi Sam_Zen,

In the list of supported formats described here, I can read:
"FLASH - (version 2.0.0.5): allows IrfanView to read Flash/Shockwave/FLV format".

In the iv_formats.zip, there are two DLL's concerning Flash:
flash.dll and flash4.dll. The first one is necessary to handle Flash formats anyway.
The second one obviously is player 4, not 5. Maybe this makes the difference.
Irfan View can handle SWF's with flash4.dll, but not FLV's.
Trying FLV I get the message to update a new browser-plugin from Adobe.
I tried, and with FireFox it wasn't possible.

I had the same problem that you've described. Another forum suggested upgrading flash from within Internet Explorer (i guess this is the player/plugin Ifran looks to) and, even though i don't use IE, this fixed it.

I refuse to use IE to fix this.
