Batch crop from 4:3 to 16:9 aspect ratio?

Hi,

I am trying to prepare a lot of images to be loaded in a digital photo frame. Unfortunately, the frame has a 16:9 aspect ratio and my pictures are mostly 4:3 or so. I would like to crop all the pictures that I am going to load onto the frame. I could have used Advanced Options in Batch window, but my problem is that the images had been taken with different cameras and therefore have different dimensions. Wouldn't it be nice to just change the aspect ratio of the crop operation (no resize, just the crop) to a predefined aspect ratio? Maybe somebody has already found a way to do it?

Hi Bbyaka,

As your images will be resized to be displayed on your digital photo frame, why not resize them yourself to the same width (you can then control what happens) and then crop them to the 16:9 format?
