I'm having a similar problem to May68 only my IrfanView is refusing to show images at their original size even when that option is checked in preferences. I have to control-H to get them to change but if I go forward and then back again, they're back to full screen size again. It's hard to get a good look at my image collection when a lot of the images are small and become badly distorted when stretched. I have Version 4.10

Check out the View menu, Display options (window mode). I think that is where your problem is. There are many more options there. You may even have accidentally pushed the F key when IrfanView was open.

It's: Shortened form of "It is"
