    New Command: Paste - Selection

I would like to propose a new command: Paste - Selection

You make a selection on an image and choose 'Paste - Selection' and then paste is made within the boundary of the selection.

he reason I would like to see this.

Sometimes I want to make a composite from two pictures. What I would ensiage doing is:

    * Create blank image (New New (blank) Image)
    * Make selection on blank, probably left hand half.
    * Open picture 1, copy, switch to my blank document, Paste-Selection.
    * Open picture 2, copy, switch to my blank document, select right hand side half, Paste Selection.

Thumbnails would do this but not have the same effect as two images mounted side-by-side.

If you do it this way around it works. But I was asking for similar features, see my other posts.

Thanks Antonios, that's a really neat solution.

So this is not a feature request. Moved to Support forum.
Before you post ... fill in your OS and IV version in your profile.
