Where are my EXIF ?

When i convert JPG to TIF, EXIF disappear, and vice versa.
Is it the matter ?

Missing EXIF data in JPEG converted images is known for a long time now. According to the issues list, the treatment is "in progress". So let's be patient

Has any progress been made in correcting this disappearing EXIF data when converting Jpg to Tiff ?
Got a bazillion pictures to be converted waiting for this fix.
