Images with cyrillic filenames doesn't open

I received mail attachments which was jpg-file named with cyrillic name. When I tried to open this file irfanview shows:
??????.jpg Can't read file header !
IE opens this file right and when I rename this file Irfanview works fine.

Is this problem related to my Windows installation (and language support) - or can anyone confirm this?

Aah! I missed this new great feature.
