Converting Images with EXIF and IPTC data

Can anyone tell me how can we convert TIFF to JPEG maintaining the copy file (JPEG) the EXIF and IPTC data from the original file (TIFF)? I´ve already checked the option "keep the original EXIF/IPTC data", but with no results.
