Irfanview has stopped working...and won't start again!

All of a sudden Irfanview stopped working and now when I try to start it I get a Windows error message:

Irfanview has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program.

What could be causing the problem? I uninstalled and reinstalled it and still the same issue. I am Running Windows Vista 64, but have used Irfanview on it for over a year with no problems. Only thing I can figure is something in a new windows update is causing the problem. That is the only change I have made to the system.

Try to delete i_view32.ini.

Irfan View Works Again

Wow, that was easy. It starts again. I wonder why that would cause a problem as it has always had an i_view32.ini before. Anyway, Thanks for the help.

Probably you changed some setting in a way that crashed IrfanView. Deleting i_view32.ini is the fastest method to reset the options to their factory values.
