    Canon Capture

    Hello,

After reading the FAQs and Tech info I'm still not sure if this program will do what i need....

I using a Canon EOS D20 to capture images to my computer and i need to rotate them 90 degrees for veiwing via 3rd pary sortware. The EOS capture utility WILL NOT rotate the images for that program. I have contacted Canon customer support and they tell me that their capture porgram will not work for all programs.

Is there any way that i can configure this program to capture images from my camera, rotate the images 90 degrees (change the ex.. file) and save them to a folder on my computer so that my other program can import them?

Thanks in advance for you help

You should be able to do this in batch conversion.

Here is a link about rotation:

      thanks for your reply

Is there a way to have it do it automatically?

i.e. Will this program caprute images from my camera like the EOS utility but rotate them for me?

Irfanview can auto-rotate based on EXIF. Properties/Settings > JPG/PCD/GIF > Auto-rotate image according to EXIF info (if available).

Otherwise, the batch conversion process can rotate all of them, but you have to specify which way first. The process requires initial decisions, but after that it is automatic.

sounds great - and it will capture images from my canon EOS 20D right?
