    Save as original size

I have IrfanView version 4.10. I have large photos, which I am sizing for e-mail. I have sized and saved the new size. The problem is that the photos save to a large percentage (172%, for example). This makes the photo look as though I'm viewing it through a screen door. If I go to View and click Original Size, the picture goes to 100% and looks perfect. The problem is that when I do Save or Save As, it preserves the size, but not the percentage. (In other words, it goes back to 172%) Is there anyway to save it at original size?

Images are saved at normal size (100%). It sounds like you are simply viewing it fitted to something which zooms it in. What display option are you using in View>Display options (window mode)?

Clicking Original Size shows you exactly that. Otherwise the image can be zoomed manually or automatically. If you want to see the image always at original size then, you need to choose Fit window to image (1:1, recommended) or Do not fit anything. The other options will fit images by either zooming them in/out. Some will do all images, others will only fit the big ones. None of any of these options will resize the actual image. You can tell by looking at the size in the status bar versus the title/caption bar.
