Inserting Images into(NOT attaching) to emails

This may, or may not be able to be accomplished solely by IrfanView. Background: At work we use Lotus Notes for email. I am able to "Print Screen" a Web page image from the net, and CTRL V (paste) that screen into Paint, then CTRL X (crop/cut) from that image what part I want, and then can CTRL V that image directly into my email. This same procedure will NOT work with ATT Yahoo email. While you can copy and paste text, and if you can highlight a graphic on the net, you can copy and paste that image into ATT Yahoo, the other procedure will not work going through Paint - I though it would work using this program. I first did a search on this thread, "insert image into email" and came up with zip. Perahps wrong thread? Does anyone know a procedure that once you have a cropped image on the IrfanView clipboard, that you can insert (NOT attach)that image directly into an ATT Yahoo email, or other email for that matter??? I don't accept a lot of the answers I read on the net as the reason why it doesn't work, for it DOES WORK with Lotus Notes. If it works there, why? And conversely, if it doesn't work with ATT Yahoo email, why? Thanks for everyone's assistance! Happy New Year to ALL!

    use an email application

Why don't you use Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird for your project?
With such an email application it's very easy to insert images into an email!

And you could manage a lot of different email adresses (with using POP3, ... )!

      Thanks Frank

It's not clear how to use Outlook and also use ATT Yahoo.....the may sound ultra simple to you, but hey, I grew up on an XT and DOS, and originally using punch cards to get my program into a "mainframe" Soooo it is possible to insert graphics into Outlook, whereas the Yahoo's at Yahoo haven't quite figured that out yet - correct??

      Best for your New Year!!!

ATT Yahoo Mail, like other webmail services cannot accept inline graphics that you copy/paste from your computer. You need an email client application like Lotus Notes. Choose an email program and install it on your computer, then do the initial account setup to configure it with ATT Yahoo Mail. Now you should be able to compose with more flexibility. If you need help, just ask.

One exception is Gmail, which can embed graphics, but they must unfortunately come from the web.

You might want to also get a screenshot program or a webshot program, too. They are quite powerful and make grabbing/editing/saving/uploading images a cinch.

        Happy New Year!
