Crop multiple images to same size

For a book scanning project I am interested in cropping a consistently sized image from a number of different images.

For example, I may have 10 photographs (1600x1200 pixels) that each show a different page in a book. The page in each photo is 1300x970 px, but the page is not exactly in the same place on each image, so I have to redraw the selected box for each image, but I want it to be the same size each time, 1300x970.

I know I can use the 'create custom crop selection' (shift c), but this seems clunky at best. Possibly I am not using it correctly. Each time I have to manually re-enter the size of my desired selection, despite clicking 'save current values,' and then I have to manually move the selection, using the right mouse button, to the desired location.

This IrfanView noob appreciates any help on this.

    Thanks,

    It should work.
    1. Draw your selection or skip to next step
    2. Press SHIFT+C
    3. Edit values
    4. Click 'Save Current Values'
    5. Click 'Apply to Image'
    6. Move the selection, if necessary, using right mouse button
    7. Use SHIFT+arrow keys for any nudging
    8. Crop
    9. Save or switch windows
    10. Next Image please!
    11. Press SHIFT+C (your values are remembered)
    12. Click 'Apply to Image'
    13. Move the selection
    14. Crop
    15. Save or switch windows
    16. Repeat steps 10-15

You can even make selections on screen and use custom selection to edit them without losing the saved values. Saved values get erased when there is no selection on screen and you press SHIFT+C, then edit the saved values and apply them. Be careful.

need to crop two different parts from a singe image

      Hi!

I need to crop two photos at the same time from an image that is already scanned.

Is there any way to do so?
