    extract exposure date from EXIF

I would like to extract the Date and time of my pictures and convert the picture name apropriately.
I did this so long using the batch conversion option:

    $T(%Y_%m_%d_%H-%M-%S) _pic###

But now I discovered, that the exported date and time is the "last change file change" date!
And since I have Windows Vista on my computer, importing the pictures always changes this and I don't know how to extract the real date!

Has anyone an idea of what I'm doing wrong?
    (Camera: Canon IXUS950)

    Thanks a lot!!

    EXIF placeholders/tags:

    $E36867 DateTimeOriginal

    $E36868 DateTimeDigitized

    $E36867(%Y_%m_%d_%H-%M-%S) _pic###
    $E36868(%Y_%m_%d_%H-%M-%S) _pic###

    All tags are in Help.

time and date from EXIF /EXIF plugin

      Thanks for you answer!

I tried it, and first it did not work, then I became aware, that I had not installed the EXIF plugin. Now it's working!

      Thanks again!
