I usually set the sharpening level to a sensible amount and leave it there. Then instead of using the Effects dialog to sharpen, I use Shift+S however many times it takes to sharpen enough. So if I add sharpening to resize, it may not be enough, but it is never too much. It is impossible to have exactly the right setting for every image.
    Its: Belongs to "It"
It's: Shortened form of "It is"
    ---------------------
    Lose: Fail to keep
    Loose: Not tight

    ---------------------
    Plurals do not require apostrophes

does anyone know how to set the sharpening levels with IV 4.25? it had it in the older version but i don't see a way to do it in the new version.
        thanks in advance.

It's the same -- you have to set it in the Effects Browser (Ctrl + E)
