postscript.dll error

Anyway, my 78 year old mom has some .jpg's from south america to look at. As I am a registered user of Irfan, I d/led the program and installed it for her. When she opens the .jpg, she gets the error saying that postscript.dll can't be downloaded from this site (irfanview) , or words to that effect.

She looks at me like I'm an idiot. what am I doing wrong here?

What does PS have to do with JPEG? Are you sure they are really JPEG files?

thats a good question. it was a .jpg. the real question is why does the error message say it can't d/l from irfan website? is irfan having website probs
