Saved images change from colour to B & W

Hello to the wonderful gurus who help dumb people.

I have a small problem in that when I save an image, after editing, some of them change to black and white from colour. Not everyone, just some.
What am I doing wrong?

Advice greatly appreciated.

Hi Dian,

Did you happen to save in grayscale JPEG or to load as grayscale JPEG (Options | Properties/Settings | JPG/PCD/GIF)?
